16. How to edit your site's metadata

If you need to edit the HTML <head> section of your website (for example, to add ownership verification meta code or JavaScript), you can do so by following these steps.

1) Go to Settings.

2) Click Advanced.

3) Click Edit Metadata.

4) Type or paste the code here.

5) Click Add.

6) Click OK to save the changes.

7) Be sure to click Publish to update your live website.

Once done, a link to your website will be displayed here.

Here is the JavaScript alert we added.

Let's view the page source to see where our code was inserted by right clicking on the site.

8) Click View Page Source.

Our code was inserted here at the end of the <head> section.

That's it! Now you know how to edit the metadata for your website.
